The Baltimore Ravens are heading to their 2nd Super Bowl this Sunday, February 3rd against the San Francisco 49ers in New Orleans. The Ravens hit a rough patch during the latter part of the regular season, but became the hottest team in football at just the right time winning their division. In the playoffs, the Ravens beat the Indianapolis Colts to move on to beat the top-seeded Denver Broncos in overtime. Finally, in the third quarter they dominated the New England Patriots to become the AFC Champions. Unlike the former Cleveland fans, the people of Baltimore have been big supporters of the Ravens even during losing seasons. The Ravens have been to the post season for the last five years, which is the longest streak in the league. Raven “fever” has been spreading across the city since the playoffs started at the beginning of January. Thousands of loyal Baltimore fans came out to cheer on and send off the team before they left for New Orleans. Starting in mid-January businesses in Baltimore started sharing in the excitement of the playoff run by lighting buildings in downtown Baltimore in Raven’s purple. The M & T Bank building has even projected a 7-story Ravens logo on the side of their building on Charles Street and the Marriott Waterfront Hotel has a laser light show of the Ray Lewis Dance . Government buildings and businesses across the city and state are showing their Raven’s spirit. The management teams at ezStorage are also getting involved in the Super Bowl excitement by dressing up in their Ravens gear! Good Luck to the Ravens in the Super Bowl! Bring back the Lombardi trophy!
