The world is open to great travel possibilities from one-day trips from Baltimore, to exploring the wonders of Europe, South America, Africa or Asia. The Travel Expo in D.C. runs Feb. 20-21 at the Washington, D.C. Convention Center in Hall C. The Washington, D.C. travel show provides inspiration, information and fun cultural interaction to find the right vacation for you. The show features seminars, demonstrations and hundreds of destination travel experts and tour operators sharing their travel expertise.

What to See at the Travel Expo in Washington, D.C.

The Washington, D.C. Travel and Adventure Show features seminars and presentations from celebrity travel hosts and experts . The list of presenters includes Peter Greenberg, CBS News Travel Editor, Phil Keoghan host of The Amazing Race, Patricia Schultz author of 1,000 Places to See Before You Die, and well-known travel blogger, Wendy Perrin. These experts will share travel tips and share their joys and experiences of traveling around the world.

There are multiple stages with activities, demonstrations and presentations throughout the show. The featured presenters can be seen on the Speakers Stage. The Taste of Travel Stage showcases local, regional and world cuisines demonstrated by well-known chefs and cooking instructors. One of the best things about traveling is sampling the local fare from BBQ to high tea to ramen dishes. The Global Beats Stage features music performances, dance and culture from all over the world including traditional dance performances by groups from Taiwan, Bali, Botswana, and Bolivia.

Families can enjoy many hands-on special exhibits at the show. You can test your rock climbing skills on the rock wall. If you are interested in learning to scuba dive, here is your chance. You can learn to scuba dive with a certified expert in a heated pool. No need to worry about scuba equipment, wet suits, masks or air tanks as these are all provided. However, you must be at least 10 years old in order to take the lesson. You can test drive a Segway too, and stop by the Travel and Adventure World Photo Booth to remember your travel show experience.

Active military members receive free admission for themselves and up to four family members with their military ID.

Renting Online is Simple

  2. Click on “Rent Now” and follow the steps.
  3. Select the autopay option.
  4. Once completed, you will receive an email with your storage unit number and access code.
  5. To reduce person-to-person contact, don’t forget to bring your own lock. Don’t already have a lock? No problem you can stop by the rental office to buy one on your first visit!
