The Baltimore Book Festival returns for its 20th anniversary to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor September 25th to 27th.  Baltimore Book Festival 2015 will feature hundreds of authors representing every genre of books from children’s literature to science fiction to poetry on multiple stages throughout the event. The Baltimore Book Festival allows those of all ages to see their favorite authors, attend seminars, workshops and demonstrations and enjoy hands-on activities. Some of the authors attending the book festival include Jack Clemons, Marisa de los Santos, Laura Lippman, Senator John McCain, Issa Rae, Seton Rossini and the Fabulous Beekman Boys. What to do at the Book Festival in Baltimore

There are many tents, booths and stages for every type of book genre and reading fan at the 2015 book festival in Baltimore. There are many stages that will be set up at the Inner Harbor. The stages at the festival include: Authors’ Tent and Speaker Stage, CityLit Stage, Enoch Pratt Free Children’s Library Stage, Food for Thought Stage, Geppi’s Entertainment Museum Comic Pavilion, Inner Harbor Stage Presented by Towson University, Ivy Bookshop Stage, Literary Salon, Maryland Romance Writers Stage, National Aquarium’s Ocean Exploration Stage, Radical Book Fair Pavilion, Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America and the Health & Wellness Stage.  The Authors’ Tent Speaker Stage is a marketplace for local and regional published and self-published authors presenting their books. There are activities for the entire family throughout the festival. This year, there is a special area for families called the CareFirst BlueCross Blue Shield Children’s Corridor  with interactive activities and giveaways throughout the book festival. The Geppi’s Entertainment Museum Comic Book Pavilion has thousands of books and collectibles for sale and allows the visitors to have discussions with comic book designers and game creators and participate in interactive panels. The National Aquarium’s Ocean Exploration Stage has free programming for ocean and conservation enthusiasts including special animal encounters, live music and interactive eco-programming.  For more information and to see the schedules of the author presentations, demonstrations and events check out the online schedule of events.

The Baltimore Book Fair will feature great local and regional food at the Food for Thought Stage. Local food and drink vendors will have stands throughout the festival including local favorites, Chic Crepes, Smokin Joe’s BBQ, Otterbein Bakery, Peabody Heights Brewery, Charm City Meadworks and Boxed Water is Better.
