College students face a variety of challenges which are completely different than when they were in high school. Their freshman college year is full of new experiences, challenges and adjustments. One of the biggest challenges for college freshmen is adjusting to sharing a very small space with one or more roommates. Dorm rooms can be very small, some averaging only 300 square feet, so storage space needs to be optimized as much as possible. When there is little room for storage in a dorm, a great year-round college student storage solution is renting a self storage unit. A self storage unit is a terrific year-round student storage solution for extra furniture, bedding, books, athletic equipment and seasonal clothing that does not fit in the small amount of space in a dorm room.
College students typically start off the school year with fewer personal belongings, but gather more “stuff” as the school year (and years) progress. ezStorage created the “Ultimate College Back-to-School Packing Guide” to provide college students and their parents a back to school checklist and storage guide. The college dorm supplies list recommends under the bed storage bins, which are great out-of-the-way storage options. But, as students accumulates more items, they can run out of storage room sooner. Instead of having a cluttered dorm room, a great storage option is to rent a storage unit.
Most self storage facilities, including ezStorage, rent their storage units on a month-by-month basis, which is perfect for students who are on a budget. ezStorage facilities offer specialized state-of-the-art security systems and digital keypad gate and building access giving students the peace of mind that their belongings are secure while in storage. ezStorage has college student storage unit sizes ranging from 5’x5’ to 10’x30’ to cover any student’s storage needs.
