During the first few weeks of college, new students will experience independence, fun experiences and many challenges. One of the biggest adjustments for new students is learning to live in a very small amount of space with one or more roommates. Dorm rooms are usually very small, some averaging 300 square feet, so storage and personal space need to be optimized. The average dorm rooms do not have much storage space. University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) students should consider renting a self storage unit to store those items that will not fit in their dorm room. A self storage unit can be a perfect year round storage solution for extra furniture, bedding, books, athletic equipment and seasonal clothing. UMBC students and faculty can also place their belongings in a storage unit if they are interning or working at a co-op position away from campus. Placing belongings in a storage unit while away will lower the stress of moving belongings to and from home when not on campus. ezStorage offers many college student storage solutions for items that will no longer fit in a college dorm or apartment.
