Stevenson University Student Storage

The first few weeks of freshman year for college students require a lot of adjustments and challenges. One of the biggest challenge for new students is getting used to living in a dormitory with one or more roommates. Dorm rooms are usually very small, some averaging 300 square, so space needs to be optimized. Small dorm rooms mean very little storage space per student. Stevenson University students should consider renting a self storage unit to store those items that will not fit in the space allotted in the room. A self storage unit can be perfect year round storage solution for extra furniture, bedding, books, athletic equipment and seasonal clothing. Stevenson University students and faculty can also place their belongings in a storage unit if they are interning or working at a co-op position away from campus.  Placing belongings in a storage unit while away will lower the stress of moving belongings to and from home when not on campus. ezStorage offers month-to-month rentals that are perfect for college students on a budget.  ezStorage self storage facilities offer state-of-the-art security systems giving students the peace of mind that their belongings are safe and secure while in storage.

About Stevenson University

Stevenson University is a private independent liberal arts college and university located in Baltimore County, Maryland. There are two campuses: Stevenson and Owings Mills. Stevenson University was founded in 1947 by the Roman Catholic Sisters of Notre Dame as a 1 year school to train women to become medical secretaries. The school was named Villa Julie College until 2008, when the name was changed to Stevenson University after Robert Stevenson, a prominent Baltimore grain merchant who married Deborah Owings, the granddaughter of the founder of Owings Mills.  The college has made major changes over the decades including becoming co-educational in 1972 and expanding to a 4 year college. Currently, there are over 4,000 students attending Stevenson University.

Stevenson University offers bachelor degrees in 30 areas of study. They also offer 9 bachelor degrees for working adults who can attend classes online or on campus. Currently, there are 8 graduate studies programs.  Originally Stevenson University was considered a consumer college for local residents, but as the college grew, more students wanted to live on campus. In the late 1990’s, Stevenson University started a major expansion project including adding a campus in Owings Mills in 2004 where there are residential buildings, a student union, and a dining hall. With the newer campus and residence halls being built in Owings Mills, currently over 2,000 students now live on campus with over half of these students being freshman.
